Global warming brings sudden environmental changes, with intensified typhoons, heavy rainfall, and flash floods that were gradually becoming more frequent. The warmer ocean temperatures fuel stronger storms, as observed in catastrophic typhoons like Haiyan (Yolanda). These extreme climate disturbances force millions of Filipinos to be displaced, destroy their livel and exert pressure on government resources.
